<image:title>Conservation Snapshots - There is No Doubt About the Value of Conservation</image:title>
<image:caption>Doubting Thomas farm has utilized conservation practices in the past through USDA’s Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) financial assistance programs and has been working with Travis Doeden, Clay County NRCS District Conservationist. Most recently that work involves trees and pollinator habitat establishment along a river bank that had seen erosion in the past. They are also using pollinator habitat in an area that was not easily accessible with farm equipment and is on a monarch and migratory bird pathway. Getting these implemented effectively requires good support provided by USDA staff.</image:caption>

<image:title>Conservation Snapshots - There is No Doubt About the Value of Conservation</image:title>
<image:caption>Having that kind of dedicated support makes a difference for farmers in the community who can share what they have done and the difference it makes. According to Noreen, “Over the past six years, we have hosted more than 8,000 visitors on our 1200 acre farm who have seen this impact firsthand. This work goes beyond benefitting my farm operation–it reaches school children, college students, and members of the public who come to learn, experience and better understand conservation in action.”</image:caption>

<image:title>Conservation Snapshots - Iowa Resource Conservationist Puts Farmers First</image:title>
<image:caption>“Working with groups like IVRCD is awesome, their staff are involved in farming and they walk the talk. Seeing Emmaly come into a meeting with dirt under her fingernails because she has been doing field work illustrates that she puts in the work and can relate to other farmers. She knows what she is doing. That is true for many of the partners as well as something that many NRCS staff pride themselves in as well.”</image:caption>
